Welcome to Nutrition by Bri


Hi! I'm Brianna, and I just wanted to introduce myself a little more. This blog will be a place where I share recipes (some my own, some that are not) and practical nutrition tips. I don't believe in fad diets, or any program that eliminates or vilifies any food/food group. I believe that all foods can fit in a well balanced diet, and yes that includes cake and cookies in moderation. If you are getting your fill of fruits, veggies, lean protein, and whole grains, then there is always room for the fun foods that often get a bad rep.

For me, one of my fave desserts is cheesecake, and I for one would not be a happy camper if someone told me that I had to avoid it. Now, I am not saying let's all eat cake, cookies, and chips for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But, let's remember that it is okay to enjoy them while still having a gentle concern for nutrition, and doing the best we can to give our bodies the nourishing foods it needs most of the time.

Now, there are people who have conditions/intolerances to certain foods that would need to be avoided/limited, but in general, it's okay have your cake and eat it too!

P.S. This is a berry cheesecake made by yours truly! And it was delicious if I do say so myself!
